The Opportunity
This role offers exposure to business analysis, technical development, and process automation, giving interns a hands-on experience in building enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
As an Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects. We are seeking highly motivated students with front-end, or back-end development to join our dynamic team of skilled ServiceNow Engineers.
You'll gain invaluable hands-on experience and contribute to building scalable solutions to enhance the ServiceNow Platform. This role provides a foundation for career growth while contributing to meaningful projects.
The successful intern candidate will be amenable to working in an exciting, fast paced, dynamic, collaborative environment. Our development teams focus on creating intuitive and scalable solutions that allow businesses to customize their application functionalities.

- Implement cutting-edge design and coding practices in collaboration with a dedicated development team.
- Build scalable automation platforms & automating workflows and functions.
- Develop interactive web UIs for complex application layers, prioritizing performance, reliability, and user experience for streamlined digital workflows and optimized client success.

Day in the Life
- Morning: Understanding Business Needs
- Start the day by joining team stand-ups to review ongoing tasks and priorities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new ServiceNow features or enhancements.
- Document user stories and acceptance criteria for modules like Service Catalog, Customer Portal, or CMDB.
- Midday: Designing and Configuring Solutions
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Work with the development team to design workflows, tables, and data models.
- Configure ServiceNow modules and test functionality to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Afternoon: Development and Automation
- Write scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in creating custom applications and integrating AI-driven features.
- Perform data imports and validate accuracy within the platform.
- End of Day: Quality Checks and Collaboration

Over the course of this 11-week program, June 1 – August 14, 2026, it is VELERA's goal to provide our interns not only with a real job experience that better prepares future graduates for their chosen profession, but to provide them the knowledge and experience vital to navigate a business environment.
In our program, interns will engage with a group of their peers in acquiring a knowledge foundation in Credit Unions, the financial industry, Six Sigma, preparing for a job search, presentation skills, and more. You will also be given opportunities to network directly with industry leaders at Velera.
Velera Intern Program Entry Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program – upperclassmen and graduate students preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate thoughts, communicate, completely, and concisely.
- Strong, organizational, and detail skills, with the ability to consistently perform as business requests.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to adjust easily when directions and priorities change on short notice.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite® with a heavy emphasis on Excel.
- Proficiency in software that applies to your major and function-specific internship.
- Passion for learning the Credit Union Industry.

Preferred Qualification:
- Experience in evaluating or integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving through AI tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or assessing AI's potential impact.
- Understanding of foundational AI concepts including basic prompt engineering.
- Exposure to Full-stack development capabilities with software design principles and agile methodologies.
- Exposure or experience in data structures and algorithms. Basic understanding of relational data modeling.
- Previous software engineering experience gained from internships, academic or personal projects, coding competitions or relevant publications. Scripting in gaming mods also counts!
- Our primary language is Java Script with a lot of CSS and HTML. Other areas of exposure or experience in programming languages and disciplines: Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Powershell.
- Approach complex software challenges with critical thinking and innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in diverse cross-functional teams.
- Anything is possible mentality. If you can invent the idea, you can make anything!

$21.00 - $22.00
Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
